Mary Sheehan
Mary Sheehan was born in 1862 in St. Marylebone, London. Her parents had had a brick making business back in Limerick,
Ireland. According to her marriage certificate her father's name was James, also a labourer, and one of the witnesses was
an Annie Sheehan, this could have been a relative. There were an unknown amount of children from her marriage to Thomas.
They had a son, Noah, born in 1880 but there are no records of him later than that. The boys I know about are are as
follows:
Thomas,
William,
John &
Robert.
In the
census of 1881, Mary and Thomas were living with her parents James and Maria Sheehan.
James, 49, was a bricklayers labourer and was born in Ireland. Maria, 43, was also born in Ireland, her occupation
was put down as a milk carrier.
Also living with them were Mary's younger brother James, 15, who was a printers boy, it is also included that he was deaf.
Margaret,11, was too young to have an occupation but it wasn't mentioned if she was at school.
One of Mary's brothers came over to see her at
Luton Street.
He was from Pennsylvania and she called him Matt. She died at home in the Tadema House flat after Thomas before the start of the
war in 1939. She is also buried in the
Kensal Green (St. Mary's) R.C cemetery
along with Thomas.
